I've tried this several different times over the course of a week now, giving plenty of time (at least 24 hours) between the uninstall and reinstall but the issue still remains in e PO.

I've done some searching online and see that other people have been suffereing from this same problem (link), but the only "solution" that has been repeated over and over was to uninstall/reinstall, which like I said before, is not working for some of my machines. My apologies for the extremely late reply: I'm using 4.8.0.1500 currently for all of my machines.

However, for laptops, this means that it Mc Afee may not update. Click on the Schedule tab and you see something similar to the image on the right.

This can be easily changed by following the instructions below. The Mc Afee update window will appear and start the update process. Once complete, the disabled Cancel button will be enabled and change to Close. For Desktops, I recommend leaving the default setting for everyday at 2am.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to reinstall it after the upgrade was done, because Mc Afee didn't have a compatible version of its software yet. So, I had to wait a few months before I was able to install it again.

Now, Windows is prompting me to upgrade to v1607 (the anniversary upgrade).

They register that tags have been applied for install, but after the install completes it does not reflect the installed software on the server side.

When I upgraded from Windows 8 to 10 last year, I had to remove Mc Afee Virus Scan Enterprise (VSE) prior to the upgrade.

Updating your virus definitions will ensure that Mc Afee Security recognizes new forms of malicious software.

It is essential that you update your files to keep your computer virus free.

In other words, you shouldn’t upgrade to the Anniversary Update unless you verify compatibility.
