Julia leaves for a trip with her Spanish class to Guatemala and Belize Sunday. February 11, 2017 Last year and some went by without a note. Doug had a wonderful time at the BSA National Jamboree in West Virginia -rafting the New River, swimming in the Atlantic at Virginia Beach, rock climbing, ropes course, mountain biking, and more. Several times this month we have had to wait out storms. Our destination was the pond at the far end of the swamp at the south end of the lake. Julia had compartment syndrome surgery June 8th and is just taking a few steps today on crutches. One tree was down on the driveway and the power out for 20 hours. Julia is a senior in high school and Doug is a 5th year senior. This winter I have been active with a local ski group that downhill skis and cross country skis. One of the storms knocked trees down across both ends of the loop/driveway. Doug is home for a few days from summer school but has to be back to Madison for band practice. She has been coming to Evergreen two weeks every year for 14 years. There were just a few problems with the pipes and all are fixed for now.
